DART GC-1 & GC-3 Bridge Decks

Archer-Western Construction selected Mobile Enterprises, Inc. to waterproof the elevated bridge decks associated with DART’s GC-1 and GC-3 contracts from Fair Park in Dallas north to Carrollton, Texas. This totaled (4) steel-decked ballasted bridges and (7) concrete-decked ballasted bridges. While 1-layer of sheet membrane was used to waterproof all of the elevated bridge deck surfaces, 2-layers of 1/2” asphalt protection board was required at the steel-decked bridges and only 1-layer of 1/2” asphalt protection board at the concrete-decked bridges.
