Love Field Airside Paving Repairs

Southwest Airlines selected Mobile Enterprises to repair areas of spalled concrete on the airside paving where airplanes approached their gates.

The designated areas were carefully sawcut to provide square perimeter edges, Tapcon screws were attached to the substrate in an alternating pattern, and the areas were patched back with Sikacrete 321 FS, a rapid hardening concrete mix that reaches 5,000 psi in 1-day.

Sikacrete 321 FS allowed the airline gates to be re-opened to airplane traffic more quickly than with regular-set concrete.
