When Hurricane Rita roared through SW Louisiana and SE Texas, major damage was left in it’s wake. Chennault International Airport was hit with over $44–million in damages, which included Hanger “A”. It lost the roof, doors, sidewalls and all equipment, tools, offices, etc..

Part of Hanger “A” restoration was the repair and recoating of the floor. Mobile Enterprises, Inc. was the successful bidder and on November 16, 2006, moved on site with nine men and commenced work. Total area of white, gray, red, blue and safety yellow striping was over 216,000 square feet or, more than 3.3 acres.

The floor was completed and turned over to the owner after a final walk-through the morning of December 8, 2006 as per schedule.

Mobile Enterprises, Inc. has worked for this client before and the owner was pleased to see this portion of the project completed on schedule.
