Plano Presbyterian Hospital
Before
Potter Structures pulled the forms from this load-bearing column to find large voids with exposed post-tension cabling inside located at the top of the column.
Mobile Enterprises was contracted to pump MasterFlow 928, a flowable high-strength hydraulic grout to fill the void completely. Formwork was installed around the voids with custom-made injection fittings attached. The cementitious grout was hand-pumped into place until excess material escaped through the vent holes that were drilled above the voids. A test cube was broken after two days and exceeded 3,500 psi. The outside void was then hand-patched with Gel Patch.
